To fill these data gaps, MedBase™ has developed a customized approach to the collection of accurate and comprehensive data to resolve these issues.

With our custom designed questionnaires, and unique physician-to-physician methodology, MedBase™ provides you with the ability to gather more complete and in-depth data than is available with any other data source or any other collection methodology.

MedBase™ Custom Profiling data is collected by and supervised by a team of consulting physicians who ensure the completeness and accuracy of all data collected. Our physician-to-physician approach ensures the integrity of the data and the highest possible coverage.

Data Collection: Data is collected through a state-of-the-art physician-to-physician call centre using our exclusive peer interviewing process. With this procedure, we are able to generate prescribing profiles on approximately 80% of Canadian physicians with their full informed consent.

Data Preparation: Data is collated, scrubbed, validated, and reviewed by our team of physician-supervisors. It is then entered into our databases for assembly, analysis and delivery.

Data Delivery: Data is delivered on CD-ROM within a custom designed Microsoft^® Excel workbook. Our data includes a complete set of custom utilities for analysis on a national, regional or territory basis, as well as a comprehensive user manual providing step-by-step instructions on how to gain the most from the data. Our data can also be exported into virtually any internal database, including most customer relationship management applications.

Data Confidentiality: MedBase™ Custom Profiling data is collected with full informed consent directly from physicians themselves. Furthermore, no third-party data is included in any MedBase™ Custom Profiling data report. As a result, MedBase™ Custom Profiling data is fully compliant with all Federal and Provincial Privacy Legislation, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and la Loi sur la protection des renseignements personnels dans le secteur privé.

All data from our Custom Profiling Service is generated from questionnaires supplied the client, or developed based on customer needs. In addition, all of our reports include the full physician identifiers including Physician ID Number, Name, Address, City, Province, and Postal Code.
